The church factor of Russian aggression against Ukraine: 1919 year

Abstract

The ecclesiastical factor of Russian aggression against Ukraine in 1919 was shown in
the message. It was a part of the ideology and practice of White movement. The content of
general’s A. I. Denikin’s policy concerning the Orthodox Church in Ukraine was revealed.
The course for the restoration of common and indivisible integrity of the Russian state and the
Russian Orthodox Church was proved. The role of the Ukrainian dioceses leaders in shaping
of Temporary ecclesiastical government in southeastern Russia was exposed. The attitude of
this governance to the ecclesiastical authority in Ukraine was characterized.
