The legal status of Protestant Communities in Galicia (1781–1921)

Abstract

The article summarizes set of legal documents of the Austro­Hungarian Empire and of the
II Rzeczpospolita that opened the establishment of early and late Protestant denominations
in Galicia at the end of 18th – the first third of the 20th centuries. It is proved that this status
already at the beginning of the 20th century allowed to lay the institutional foundations, cultural
and educational traditions of Protestantism in this region.
