Mythical beast «Rigveda» – Sharabha

Abstract

Based on comparative historical, linguistic and ethnographic analysis, the symbolisms of
ornamentation of folk ladles of Eastern Europe are considered, and also the historical materials
that confirm the existence of its cult in the past are presented. The hypothesis about an origin
of ethnonim «Slavs» is offered.
